For this 20th Anniversary edition of the Classic, the original line-up of courses is being played for the first time in 2 years, with this fantastic week long tournament package containing the legendary Carnoustie Championship course, which has been host venue for The Open, the AIG Women’s Open and more recently The Seniors Open in 2024 as well as being one of the host venues for the annual Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The other 3 rounds will be played over 2 former and 1 current Open Qualifying course in the Carnoustie and Angus area, Monifieth Medal and Montrose 1562 Links and returning for 2026, the classic Panmure Golf Club, with its famous ties to Ben Hogan, who triumphed in The Open at Carnoustie in 1953.
The Classic, which as you have read, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary edition in 2026, has a loyal following, with golfers entering from all parts of the UK, Europe, North America and beyond. Known as one of the friendliest tournaments in the golfing calendar, the Classic has the challenges, and the rewards which other competitions emulate.
The tournament in 2026 will have enhanced prize categories for Gents, Senior Gents and Ladies, as well a fun Team competition over the 4 days. The format is Stableford and all competitors will play one round of golf on each course during the week with prizes also on offer for best score at each venue.
There will be package prices for golfers sharing rooms, golfers in sole use rooms and a special price for a couple sharing a room where one of them is a non golfer. We will also have a Golf only package, which includes all social aspects, for those that stay more local to Carnoustie or wish to secure their own accommodation.

Additional golf at Montrose, Monifieth and Panmure can be booked for a reduced rate for all competitors of the Classic and golf can also be arranged at other local venues, such as Arbroath, Forfar and Downfield as well as golf in other locations in Scotland.
Additional hotel nights in the Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa can be booked at a special rate for all competitors of the Classic staying in the hotel during the event.
