This adventure golf trip to play on some of our countries must outlying and rugged links begins with a flight from Glasgow Airport to Machrihanish. Here you will be picked up from Campbeltown Airport and transferred to the Ugadale Hotel for a 2 night stay. Your Scottish Links experience will begin straight away as you face the historical links of Machrihanish GC, followed by the testing, rolling fairways and greens of Machrihanish Dunes on day 2. On day 3 it’s time to get the ferry from Kennacraig over to Islay, where you will have the chance to visit an Islay Whisky Distillery of you choice. After you have had your fill of Scotland’s most famous export, you will check into the luxurious Machrie Hotel for a 1 night stay. Day 4 you will play the newly renovated Machrie Golf Links. The renovation has been finished to a very high standard giving the course a perfect blend of old and new, with the original layout dating back to 1891. After your round, a transfer to the airport for a late evening flight to Glasgow and a quick over night stay. Day 5 begins with an early flight to South Uist. Here you will pick up a rental car and make the journey south to Askernish. Old Tom Morris designed Askernish back in 1891 and it has remained unchanged ever since. Askernish is a true representation of how Scottish Links used to be and a real bucket list course for many golfers around the world. After your round, it’s a short drive north to the Dark Island Hotel to relax before your flight back to Glasgow the next morning were the trip comes to an end.
For those shorter on time, the Askernish part of the trip can be removed and you can finish up in Glasgow after your round on the Machrie on day 4. See below for price breakdowns.
