This bespoke tour was created as a two-centre trip based over the East Lothian area known as “Scotland’s Golf Coast” and St Andrews.
This self-drive tour was based on four golfers sharing a full-size people carrier and driving themselves between both locations and courses. We combined visits to East Lothian and Fife to play some of the best courses in both regions.
Their tour started in the wonderful Macdonald Marine Hotel in North Berwick where they spent three nights overlooking the famous West Links course which they played later that day. A short drive down the coast took them to the beautiful Dunbar golf course, which is perched along the North Sea before finishing their East Lothian time in Gullane. Here they played on the former Scottish Open venue #1 course where U.S. golfer, Rickie Fowler, triumphed in 2015.
They then ventured up the coast to St Andrews, known as the “Home of Golf” and checked in to the boutique Hotel Du Vin for a three-night stay in this historic golfing town. They would complete their golfing itinerary with rounds at the spectacular championship venue of Kingsbarns followed over the next two days with rounds at two of the golf towns own links courses: the testing links of the historic New course followed by the spectacular new addition to the town, the cliff-top located Castle Course, which brings a modern edge to links golf.
