The Kent Coast offers some of the best and most beautiful links courses in England. From the 2021 Open venue Royal St Georges to Royal Cinque Ports and the 27 holes of Princes. This package ticks all the boxes for a great golfing experience on the Kent Coast.
Royal St Georges: Opening for play in 1887, it didn’t take long for the reputation of this impressive links to spread, as only 7 years later in 1894 it hosted it’s first Open Championship, the first Open to be played outside Scotland. It has been host to a further 13 Opens throughout the years and is set to be the venue again in 2021. Set out in a similar style to Muirfields loose figure of eight, with it’s beautiful surroundings this courses is a must play for golf and golf history fanatics around the globe.
Royal Cinque Ports: Set among the rolling dunes to the North of the Kentish town of Deal, two time Open venue, Royal Cinque Ports is a strong course which offers an exciting test of golf. With it’s narrow undulating fairways, tangled grasses, gorse and the ever present coastal wind, making it around this links, although testing, is an enjoyable experience for all golfers.
Princes: Made up of 3 nine hole courses, named Himalayas, Dunes and Shore. Princes, although having to battle with it’s famous neighbour, still offers a fantastic golfing experience. Being able to pick and choose which combination of courses to play to make 18, or opting for the full experience over 27 holes gives golfers a different round each time they play.
