The North and North East of Scotland are home to some of the best links golf with stunning coastal layouts and views in the country and this package feature some of the most historic and well loved courses in the region along with 2 very high quality accommodation options to boot!
Cruden Bay needs no introduction as its one of the “go to” links courses in Scotland, with stunning views and holes tight along the coastline, it really is a must for anyone looking for that classic links layout. Royal Aberdeen’s championship course, Balgownie Links, has hosted some of the worlds best golfers during the Scottish Open and is yet another Scottish course with a stamp of James Braid on it.
From Aberdeen, we head across country towards Nairn on Scotland’s Moray Firth coastline and en-route, a stop in Lossiemouth to play Moray Old, originally laid out by Tom Morris in the 19th century, this is a true gem of a course. Our final 2 courses are both located in Nairn and both with Championship pedigree, first we have Nairn Golf Club, yet another links that has design and layout changes overseen by both “Old Tom” and James Braid and then Nairn Dunbar, some say the lesser of the courses but certainly not one to be missed, and another gem which was also the starting point for Scotland’s very own PGA & DP Tour player (and winner), Russell Knox.
The Chester Hotel is one of Aberdeen’s finest properties, with luxurious rooms and public areas, famous artwork and even one of the worlds greatest whisky collections. The Golf View Hotel in Nairn is a grand hotel with stunning views over the beach and Moray Firth as well as Nairn GC and, with on site pool and spa, it offers a chance for some relaxation away from the course.
